026 \/\/ Stroll through the Bible Reading – Mk 11-1 thru 12-34 – cursed fig tree – triumphant entry – clears the temple – give to Caesar – greatest commandments

Howdy,

In this episode I’m reading Chapter 11:1 thru 12:34 continuing in the Gospel of Mark from a public domain translation of the Bible named the New Heart English Bible translation.

– Please feel free to read along with me or just listen.

– I hope my reading and very short sharing at the end with a short prayer can be and example and a blessing to you of what I mean when I want to encourage a simple yet powerful way to study God’s word!

I pray that this episode blesses you! Keep growing-on.

Here is a basic outline of this reading:

Mk 11 : 1-11 Christ rides with triumph into Jerusalem;

Mk 11 : 12-14 curses the fruitless fig-tree;

Mk 11 : 15-19 purges the temple;

Mk 11 : 20-26 exhorts his disciples to steadfastness of faith, and to forgive their enemies;

Mk 11 : 27-33 and defends the lawfulness of his actions by the witness of John, who was a man sent of God

Mk 12 : 1-12 In a parable of the vineyard let out to wicked husbandmen Christ foretells the reprobation of the Jews, and the calling of the Gentiles

Mk 12 : 13-17 He avoids the snare of the Pharisees and Herodians about paying tribute to Caesar;

Mk 12 : 18-27 convicts the Sadducees of error, who denied the resurrection;

Mk 12 : 28-34 resolves the scribe, who questioned of the first commandment;

Blessings to you,

Victor
